Breakdance (also known as BBoying or breaking) is a dance that was born in New York City, USA during the 1970's.
Breakdance comes from different dance styles (Swing, Charleston, Uprock), martial arts (Capoeira) and gymnastics. The BBoys (breakdancers) combined
many styles by creating movements standing up (toprock), on the floor (downrock or footwork), stopped moves (freezes) and moves that requires strength (power moves).
Breakdance is practiced in circles (cyphers) or in individual or group (crews) competitions (battles). Check out the video below to see some moves.
